"Iatrogenic" iat·ro·gen·ic [ʌɪˌatrə(ʊ)ˈdʒɛnɪk] adjective: relating to illness caused by medical examination or treatment: "drugs may cause side effects which can lead to iatrogenic disease"
From Wikipedia; "Iatrogenesis is the causation of a disease, a harmful complication, or other ill effect by any medical activity, including diagnosis, intervention, error, or negligence. First used in this sense in 1924, the term was introduced to sociology in 1976 by Ivan Illich, alleging that industrialized societies impair quality of life by overmedicalizing life. Some iatrogenic events are obvious, like amputation of the wrong limb, whereas others, like drug interactions, can evade recognition. In a 2013 estimate, about 20 million negative effects from treatment had occurred globally."
In this 1994 article "Doctors Do More Harm Than Good" https://www.vernoncoleman.com/main.htm Dr Vernon Coleman writes; "when the medical profession, together with the pharmaceutical industry, claims that it is the advances in medicine which are responsible for the fact that life expectancy figures have risen in the last one hundred years or so they are wrong. It is, for example, commonly claimed that modern scientific medicine has led to improvements in life expectation in most developed countries from around 55 at the start of the century to over 70 today. The evidence, however, does not support this claim. Any (small) improvement in life expectancy which has occurred in the last hundred years is not related to developments in the medical profession or to the growth of the international drug industry, but the increase in iatrogenesis is related to both these factors."
To think that the medical profession whose mantra is (supposedly) "first do no harm" would blindly harm their patients is a thought to horrible to contemplate for most.....I will let Peter Deusberg expand on this;
"Hidden in foreign-language materials and the footnotes of obscure sources lies the story of SMON, a frightening disease epidemic that struck Japan in the 1950's. For fifteen years the syndrome was mismanaged by the Japanese science establishment, year after year the epidemic grew, despite public health measures to prevent the spread of an infectious agent and in the end, doctors were forced to admit IT WAS THEIR TREATMENT that had actually caused SMON in the first place. This story has remained untold outside of Japan, ignored as being too embarrassing. It deserves to be told in full here; (See Pg 11, The SMON Fiasco in Duesberg’s book “Inventing the AIDS Virus” at the following link)
Dr Nancy Turner Banks writes; "The story of SMON is not only a classic case of group-think causing intellectual paralysis, but a moral tale about the lack of integrity of the pharmaceutical industry." Read her description in full from Pg 216-219 here;

And now Clioquinol, the cause of SMON is been touted as a cure for Alzheimers & cancer, they never learn do they! Clioquinol: To harm or heal - ScienceDirect
The orthodox medical system wants to keep us locked into the allopathic medical system, the system that causes iatrogenesis, which even according to their stats is the third leading cause of death in the USA, but I think that a good case could be made saying it is; "THE LEADING CAUSE of death in the world".
I'll leave the final word to Alexander Newport;
“Two & a half centuries of advancements in "medical science"“ (anagram; licensed scam {well, not quite, but...}) “now means that "medical care" is the 3rd leading cause of chronic disease & death.
Let that sink in.
All of these improved pharmaceuticals...all of these scans & screenings & tests...all of these modern discoveries... and Doctors are the 3rd leading cause of chronic disease & DEATH.”

Addendum.
I wrote that a few years ago, re-discovered it on a memory stick yesterday & simply added on the comment from Mr Newport.
The medical cabal's not entirely made up of neo-Malthusians - some are just profit-hungry enough to see that culling the herd is bad business. Why go for broke with iatrogenesis climbing the rankings when you can squeeze more out of the living? The real moneymaker is keeping people teetering on the edge - just sick enough, long enough, to keep them endlessly cycling through the "solutions" to problems the Medical Mafia's so-called "health measures" conveniently created.
The perfect target? Keep people alive, but in a state of chronic misery that stretches out as close to their current life expectancy as possible. Meanwhile, dream up new ways to degrade their health even further so you can dangle expensive "remedies" in front of them like a carrot on a string. After all, in sales, it's all about repeat business. Death? That's just bad for the quarterly report.
I also wrote an article years ago regarding Allopathic Inc. that deals with Iatrogenesis and longevity. It's rather lengthy so I posted it elsewhere. Keep up the good work. https://justpaste.it/byxit
